Two children were killed by their mother last Friday in Jianghua, Hunan province S China.
A woman surnamed Li throttled her 6-year-old son after failing to stop him from searching for food at home around 4 pm, and then killed her younger son, aged 4, considering 'he might feel lonely without his elder brother'.
Li tried to commit suicide after the killing, but was saved by doctors after being sent to a hospital.
The woman reportly was not on good terms with her husband Zhou after getting marriage in 2005, and ran away from home in 2009.
She was found in Guizhou last month and 'in abnormal mental condition', according to her mother. Her husband brought her home on April 8th, just 4 days before the tragedy.
The case is still under further investigation.
